Daredevil on Netflix, Marvel hits another homerun (spoiler free)

So the time has finally come, Daredevil has hit netflix after what seems to be a long wait.  I can honestly say it was worth it. Daredevil takes the gritty side of the Marvel universe, the underworld as it were, and brings it to the screen. The interesting thing about how this is handled is that unlike the terrible Ben Affleck Daredevil we all remember this one embraces it's seedy side. It is gritty and dirty but seems much more anchored in a real world mentality than something like the Avengers.
Now with all that said Daredevil is not family friendly, it has language and violence as well as some surprisingly adult themes that won't surprise any fan of the original comic, but will certainly be too much for many younger viewers.
So the question then becomes is this show any good. I can say with out a doubt yes. It takes pieces from several of the more well known Daredevil stories (including my personal favorite Guardian Devil) and combines them into a narrative that blends a vigilante tale with what many would say is the first street level superhero. I for one am glad to see this taking a darker turn than Guradians of the Galaxy or Avengers and it certainly gives me hope for the rest of the upcoming Netflix Marvel offerings coming next year.
